Does Joomla simply receive an account in alfresco? or simply connect as guest?

Would it be possible to have joomla use multiple permission sets in alfresco so we could use it as a drop box for clients

so when client 1 enters credentials into joomla they can only get to folder (or documents) tagged with client 1 permissions

and

when client 2 enters credentials into joomls they can only get to folder (or documents) tagged with client 2 permissions

basically can this be an authenticated pickup point for multiple users?

Hi Adam,

You can choose with what account Joomla logs in. At the moment only one account can be used. What you want is possible though, we would need to build a Joomla authentication plugin against Alfresco and let it handle the logins of the user. So yes it can be an authenticated pickup point for multiple users.

That sounds great! We had been discussing finding/making something similar for a while now.

Conveniently, we use both Alfresco and Joomla!

I know what I am going to be tinkering with this weekend.

Did I miss something? I've seen a bunch of questions about how to install the integration, but no reply.

Am I right to assume that the place to install it is from the Joomla/administrator pages? It seems so, but then what?

Perhaps a Wiki about how to do it could help.
