Have you installed a valid Enterprise licence file?

I haven't installed the license file separately.
I have downloaded the evaluation version setup and just installed it.

And in the server startup log it says

15:43:00,397 Userystem INFO [service.descriptor.DescriptorService] Alfresco license: Enterprise - v3.0 granted to Trial User

Also, in the server startup it has the following entry in the log. Is it anyway connected to this error ?

In that case I think you should call support who will help get up and running.
