I don´t know if this is going to be the problem but have you removed/changed de alf_data directory? This directory is related to the database used by alfresco, so if you have changed the connection to other database, surely the alf_data directory is not the correct one.

Did you ever sort out this problem. I'm getting the same message and I'm so close to getting the server to run. This is my last hurdle, I hope.
