Restarting Alfresco

Simple question – What is the best way to restart Alfresco Labs 3? Currently, i run the two Alfresco command/scripts but often Aflresco does not come back up. /opt/alfresco/alfresco.sh stop /opt/alfresco/alfresco.sh start Do I have to reboot the computer, tomcat, etc? Thanks.

It would only not come back up if the previous instance hasn't shut down properly.

Check the java process has gone after the shutdown script.

Thanx MikeH…Typically a restart takes a few minutes…Would you suggest putting a space of time (let's say a 2-5 minute delay) in between a alfresco stop and start command? Thanks.

You could that, but you'd be guessing as to the correct time delay. It would be better to write a small script that watched for the java process going away. I'm sure there are scripts and/or programs out there that people have already written.
