It seems that JBoss EAP runs clustered, and it is trying to serialize the sessions (which fails).

Is there any way you can disable session serialization on EAP?

Hi Joram,

It work if I disable the session replication, we are evaluating activiti and in future we will deploy it in the same jboss with our app which has session replication enabled. It would be of great help if we know that this session serialization is not supported on purpose or it will be eventually added as a feature.

No, session replication is not supported currently.
Can't jboss be configured for this specific application only? I know in Tomcat you can configure session replication for each application separately.
