I believe the behavior should be the same whether you login through CAS or LDAP, though not sure about what issue you might be having.

I also believe the same.

I have followed the documentation at AlfrescoWIKI regarding CAS configuration.

I wanted was that the user that passed through CAS should get created into Alfresco database.

Any ideas how can it be done?

That wiki page CAS configuration is one of ours - or at least we originally wrote it and the CAS filter java code.

The code in the CAS filter definitely does not create a new user if it doesn't exist, but it can be made to do so.

jbarmash: if you can provide some pointers to where the LDAP authentication code is, (that creates the user on the fly), we can add it to the CAS filter.

Thanks for your replies.

I have achieved what i required.

I Integrated Alfresco with CAS and then also added the ldap authentication.
and also integrated CAS with LDAP.

This solved my problem.

Now any user authenticated with CAS/LDAP gets its profile created on ALfresco, if it doesn't exist.

I had also looked at the source of ldap (/projects/repository/source/java/org/alfresco/repo/security/authentication/ldap/) in Alfresco CE 2.1 source (REVISION 929). But could not really make out the source.

Can anybody help me on this?
