Alfresco on JBOSS

My goal is to run alfresco on my jboss application server. I am using jboss 4.2.1.GA and alfresco community war 2.1.0. My os is ubuntu 8.04 and my java version is 1.6.0_06. Alright, so now I think I've gotten past my previous error and I am now faced with a 'new' one. It say to ensure that dir ROOT property is pointing to the right location but I know this is wrong because it writes the alf_data files anyways. I just installed alfresco running on jboss on my friend's mac and it works perfectly. What in the world is wrong with my setup? The deployer gets tripped up in the location below every time.
