    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Why are all properties of Dublin Core mandatory in the default content model?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;DC is intended to be a lowest common denominator profile and is typically &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;not used in this fashion:&amp;nbsp; actually, I've never seen an application which could&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;use DC as implemented in the Alfresco model.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Of course, one could simply enter a space for properties which are not required,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;but this seems bizarre.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Is it intended just as a demo?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
