    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I followed the instcutions in page: &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Installing_Alfresco_Community_2.9B_on_Centos_5.1" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Installing_Alfresco_Community_2.9B_on_Centos_5.1&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;to get Alfresco installed on CentOS 5.2. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I need to use MySQL instead of the default DB that comes with Alfresco, so I followed the instructions here:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;* Installed MySQL&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;* mysql -u root -p &amp;lt; db_setup.sql&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;* Edited custom-repository.properties and custom-hibernate-dialect.properties &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;* alfresco.sh start&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I can get to &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="http://localhost:8080/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;http://localhost:8080/&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; , but &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="http://localhost:8080/alfresco" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;http://localhost:8080/alfresco&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; generates an error:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;HTTP Status 404 - /alfresco/&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;——————————————————————————–&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;type Status report&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;message /alfresco/&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;description The requested resource (/alfresco/) is not available.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;——————————————————————————–&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Apache Tomcat/5.5.23&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;What am I missing? And is the default DB that comes with Alfresco suitable for production?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Thank you for any hint you can provide!&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I was able to resolve this issue with the help of one of my programmers. Here is what made it work:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;* ./alfresco.sh stop&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;* killall -9 java&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;* rm -rf ./alf_data/*&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;* Drop the "alfresco" database&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;* Create a new alfresco database&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;* ./alfresco.sh start&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;If you run into a similar issue, please try the above. If it does not work, I'll be glad to share with you my config files.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Good luck.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
