      <description>Hi,&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I want to access the DMS API of the alfresco as well as uploading&amp;nbsp; the documents from other CMS tool like OPENCMS tool ..&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; is it possible using webscripts?&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; if it is possible..how it can be done? and what are all the prelimineries need to be done?&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; how to proceeed?</description>

First question is how you want your systems to communicate - through filesystem, HTTP, WebDAV, Email? HTTP is the most logical option normally, and you can use webscripts (aka customizing your HTTP communication), the CMIS API or the REST API here.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;A webscript is simply having Alfresco handling an HTTP request. If you want to move files around, use a multi-part post request &lt;img id="smileywink" class="emoticon emoticon-smileywink" src="https://connect.hyland.com/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.png" alt="Smiley Wink" title="Smiley Wink" /&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
