Env: RHEL 5(x86_32), Tomcat 6.0.13, Java6u2, Alfresco 2.9B CEWhen replacing the default 'alfresco' authenticator for Filesystem Security with 'passthru' and either JAAS or NTLM configurations the following error is observed when supplying a user/pass for authentication at the Alfresco LOGIN screen.

I will fix this for the next release. In the meantime, to avoid the NPE, please add the following property…


        <property name="tenantService">
            <ref bean="tenantService"/>
        </property>

…to the overridden "authenticationComponent" bean definition. For example, in jaas-authentication-context.xml:


<bean id="authenticationComponent" class="org.alfresco.repo.security.authentication.jaas.JAASAuthenticationComponent">
        <property name="realm">
            <value>DEFAULT.REALM</value>
        </property>
        <property name="jaasConfigEntryName">
            <value>Alfresco</value>
        </property>
        <property name="tenantService">
            <ref bean="tenantService"/>
        </property>
</bean>

This will inject the single-tenant service by default.
