how can i call the alfresco's api from console ?

i want to add lots of documents and do lots of searching by using windows console ,are there some api i can call and how i call them ? it is really hard to add lots of document and search manytimes by hand from web thx very much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thx for your answer, i am trying to use ftp. but it is also hard to do lots of searching jobs in alresco. is there some api i can call ?
