Good day, you two,
I have a another problem, but since both of you seem to have mysql working fine, maybe you know the answer :

In the installation instructions, it says "set mysql to UTF8".

Simple line, but it baffles me. I can use "SET NAMES", which will leave the status command something like this :

Server characterset: latin1
Db characterset: latin1
Client characterset: utf8
Conn. characterset: utf8

Is that enough already ?

Regards,
Norgan

BTW - OpenSuse 10.3 + MySQL 5.0.45 RPM Install

Hallo, the Alfresco product seems very promising … in it’s “out-of-the-box” version.I have however been trying to run it with MySQL but with no success. This is a prerequisite for our development and I would ask for your assistance before we give up on what looks like a very good product.Pleas

From the stack trace it looks like you started Alfresco at least once with either:

The content store (the directory pointed to by dir.root) in a different location.

The default HSQLDB database.

Either way, the relational database and content store are now out of sync - this is what the "CONTENT INTEGRITY ERROR" is telling us.

Assuming you have no important content in the repository, the easiest way to get out of this situation is to shutdown Alfresco, reset both the database and the content store and then restart Alfresco (which will recreate a blank repository). To reset the database, drop the alfresco database and recreate it; to reset the content store simply delete everything in the directory pointed to by "dir.root" ("c:\temp\content" in your case).

The good news is that this has nothing to do with the MySQL installation - from what you've posted it looks like that's installed and configured perfectly.

Cheers,
Peter
