Hi,

I'm bringing this topic up from the dead, since it's exactly what I'm looking for at the moment, and I can't seem to find a good answer.
So, I like the author of the original post would like to extend Alfresco groups with extra properties, whatever they may be.

I haven't really find a great way to do this, so I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this?

One possibility is creating your own content, then linking it to the Alfresco group, but I would like to avoid that, since I'd like to keep it as simple as possible.

From Alfresco's perspective adding extra properties to groups is not recommended.

Yes you can do it, but you are then working with Alfresco's private implementation which can and does change from time to time.
