Hello Acis,
i had a similar sounding problem with the "Users" and the "User Home" folders. In the navigator, it looks fine, in the main area, the name is not used. As far as I understand this, the main folders do not translate by language packs, but use the first name item. When you check the details for the folder, see there is two name/title fields, one with a globe, one without. This is necessary for some names have to be unique.

Maybe its the same with your situation. On initial install, the folders were created with the french naming. Then, the language pack function kicks in for the rest of the customization.

In facts I don't think we have exactly the same problem. For me all interface is perfectly translated when I change the language. But still some labels are displayed in the default local. These labels are name and description of all folder created by Alfresco bootstrap like data dictionary, user homes, …

I check and these folder have only one title and one description.

I don't understand why it's doing that.
