You could use flexspaces and/or components (see org/integratedsemantics/flexspaces/component/search/* area for search) from flexspaces which also uses the flex sdk to access webscript / http / rest "web services". To also use a mix of soap based "web services", additional caringorm delegate classes could be added (see org/integratedsemantics/flexspaces/control/delegate/* area) with the flex WebService classes instead of the HTTPService class used by the alfresco "flex sdk" micro framework

Hi steve,

from svn i downloaded the flex-sdk and some examples, with this i could generate my application but its
giving me an error on the generation of the xml.

Im working with a tomcat from the application from alfresco.

Where can i download the tomcat for flex???

Gonzalo,

1. The tomcat that comes with the alfreco installer will work with flex just fine.
2. If you are having problems with flex code from the ace module, note that is dependent on custom content models/code from the knowledge-base module
(see webscripts api forum http://forums.alfresco.com/en/viewforum.php?f=36 and search on ace or flex)
3. If you are trying to use e4x result format xml see my modifications to the alfresco flex sdk (in flexspaces project in the forge in the org/alfresco/framework/service/webscript/WebScriptService.as)

Already I could have done a search in flex with the following webscript that contains alfresco.
(http: // 192.168.1.245:8080/alfresco/service/sea rch/keyword.rss).

Now I have loaded a file in alfresco with attributes and what I want to do is realize is a search throu these attributes.
For it I want to create my own (proper) webscript to be able to realize this search, my question is, how can I fulfil or create this webscript of search for attributes and if you have an example it would be very VERY usefull for me.

You can use the search webscript in flexspaces ( integratedsemantics/search/search.get.desc.xml ) that takes a lucene query flexspaces/search?lucenequery={luceneFormatQuery} and look in http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Search#Finding_nodes_by_text_property_values to learn the lucene query syntax for attributes/properties

A have another question if you dont mind again…

I have a webscript that shows me results of a search, this webscripts give-shows me the URL(link) of an archive to download.

The problem that i have is that when i do click on the URL , the URL asks me an Autentification (user and pass).

How can i EVOID this Autentification when i do a click on that URL(link) of an archive to download.

Like a Single Sing On.

(note this is a json webscript, would need to change to xml to use with flex, or use a http://code.google.com/p/as3corelib/
for json support)

With regular in-browser flex you download with a browse dialog for each file with FileReference download() (not so good for massive downloads)

flex+AIR
Adobe AIR has some features that would make this easier to do:
1. flash.filesystem.File has a browseForDirectory() to browse for a directory to download to
2. given a File object for a local filesystem dir you can write files to it
flexspaces+air has a "make available offline" feature in its tools menu for downloading multiple selected files in the repository

can you help me?

I want to know is how to make a massive load by cifs or ftp or another upload method in alfresco, which allows me to rescue (in the search in alfresco) the indexes of the images or files contained in the file of the type xml or txt.

That is to say that if I massive upload 1000 images to alfresco thru cifs massive upload for example and I load this file xml or txt with its respective indexes (example: vat number, id number,owner etc) this will associate to each and everyone of the files that i mass uploaded allowing me to do a search to the file i need or request.

You could make a new webscript based on an upload webscript (such as the one in flexspaces) and use the uploaded content (xml or text) from the call to the webscript to set attributes.

I have another question or big doubt…

Ive used your webscripts in flexspaces and it work just fine to guide me, but the thing is that, i want to massive upload to alfresco in one time(1 click) 10.0000 files or more, not one by one.

I understood the logic of the download of 1 file, is the logic for massive load and download the same ? (all files in one time(1 click), 10.0000 files or more)

In this moment i am trying to generate this webscript, is this the way ? if not, please guide me.

One thing with with that many files, not on the webscript/serverside, but on the clientside. For example from flex/actionscript can browse and get many files at once, but need to not do the FileRefence.upload calls in parallel. Instead do them sequentially (start next one only after previous one completes).

Im recently taken the massive download subject in flex…
Ill tell you what i have and ask you please:
The Alfresco has a massive download that generates a .ACP file, this one contains a folder with the images and a XML with the metadata.
This massive downloads are from the Alfresco spaces that a user chooses.

Steve, is it possible to create this same methology in FLEX?
Could it be that from FLEX, call the webscript that realizes the .ACP?

You could write a webscript using the javascript api for actions and call the export action

Hi all,
I need some help please. I want to use Alfresco webservices and APIs to use its file uploading and retrieving system with my flex application.
Can I? and How? and for this What Alfresco Services and APIs are suppose to use? I read your this post "Alfresco + Flex".
I think that I can get help from here.
NOTE: I just want to use Document management system (upload+retrieve > files).
Please reply me as soon as possible. I want to build it as quick as can.

Thanks for quick response.
I'm trying to understand but couldn't get properly. I'm actually very new in flex+alfresco even in java. But i want to work in this. I guess you meant that to import this CMISspace and it will generate actionscript for alfresco webservices and then to use them just need a function call in java etc?
