Hi All,
HTTP 404 Error is now resolved in MAC OSX 10.4 Tomcat 5.5.

I did google search for couple of days and landed in this link,

I've been developing applications for Tomcat 5.0.x, but my hosting has version 5.5.9 . When I deployed the application to that version of tomcat, the application context could not initialized, with the error - 404 - Not found / The requested resource is not available. It was really a strange problem, because everything was the same. After hours of browsing the web I found out that Tomcat 5.5 already includes libraries "jsp-2.0.jar" and "commons-el.jar". So, all you need to do is just to REMOVE that libraries from your /WEB-INF/lib folder.

After deleting the commons-el.jar from /WEB-INF/lib from tomcat webapps/alfresco folder, alfresco application started successfully.
