Regarding storage in Alfresco UI

Hi All, I installed alfresco with HSQLDB. Now i have a doubt about storage. Suppose we uploaded one document to Alfresco UI. Now i want to know where it is storing and in which format it is storing. Is it possible to access or edit those tables.Thank you in Advance,Hithardha Tellakula.

The content of files are stored in the filesystem, by default in the alf_data/contentstore directory. The Lucene indexes are also stored in the filesystem, by default in the alf_data/lucene-indexes directory. The space hierarchy, categories and properties of the content are stored in the relational database (HSQLDB in your case).

The Alfresco database tables should not be accessed directly, since the schema does change from time to time (eg. between 2.1 and 2.2 there was some refactoring of the handling of qualified names that requires fairly significant changes to the database schema).

Another thing to note is that while HSQLDB is great for "kicking the tyres", it is not suitable for production use.

Hi,
Thank U for your reply. I have another doubt. Now i am going to create one web page by splitting the Header part, Left nav part, Body part and Footer. For these i created all XSD files. here i have a doubt. how can i migrate all in one XSl file. One web form allows one xsd and related xsl. So for this i have to create individual web forms for each and every part or not?

Let me know the process of migrating all in one xsl. And how to configure the servers for deployment. For this we have to install anything. If not how to proceed and deploy the files.
