1. If I create a space-from-template (ex. Software Engineering Project), I get a copy of the system-overview.html file.
2. Need to get a link to it instead, and would like the link to refer to a specific version since our projects last a long time.
3. We have multiple project types (plan on making each one a seperate template in Spaces Templates) (ex. commercial-Office, commercial-mall, residential) and we have a master set of documents that we want to link back to from each specific project created from a template in the Spaces Template.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Rich

Links are a new feature in 1.3, and they do work as you require within space templates.

If you have the 1.3.0 (dev) release you can check it out:

1. "Copy" a content item (a "master document") to the Clipboard
2. "Paste as link" from the Clipboard into a space from which you want to create a space template
3. Copy/paste the space containing the link into the Space Templates space.
4. Create a new space from the new template.
5. The link to the original content item now resides in your new space created from the space template. If you modify the original content item, and then view it from the link, you will see the content has changed accordingly.

Bottom line: V1.3 should meet all of your requirements.

–Mike
