Try deleting the Alfresco database (after backing everything up, of course) then re-running the database configuration tool before restarting Alfresco.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

Just in the next day it stopped with the error that I describe&lt;/BLOCKQUOTE&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Did it stop, or did you stop it? Did you change any configuration between stopping and restarting? It's highly unlikely that the application spontaneously stopped working with this error which usually indicates a database issue.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;You could try stopping Tomcat, removing the alf_bootstrap_lock table and restarting, which may work if the problem was transient, as has been suggested elsewhere on these forums.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Thanks,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Mike&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
