Hi,
That's because it is still in development and at the present time is likely to have issues - as you have found out.
It is worth while looking in Jira to assess how the development is progressing, and keep looking at the nightly builds because we are running it internally so issues like this won't be around for very long.
(BTW, this issue has been resolved since it also impacted me…)

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the update. I was just looking forward to see the new Alfresco
client in action on my own pc and assumed that since Luis demonstrated it on one of the break-out/tech sessions
this nightly build would work. I will watch the Jira and just try the nightly builds as they become available and see how it progresses till the following
release stages.
I am glad it has been resolved.

Hi Kevin,

I had a chance to try out the Share client of the nightly build (July 29th) (Alfresco Labs-3a.1017-Mini-Setup.exe) on a MySQL database
and the interface looks cool. I guess Share won't be an immediate replacement for the current Alfresco client (not in this release), but I can see it getting there.
