Error connecting to the virtualization server

Hi, I am using the following: alfresco-community-2.90B-Setup.exe alfresco-community-wcm-2.1.0.zip I was doing the samples at WCM 2_1 Product Evaluation Guide.pdf. When I started the virtualization server in order to preview the website, I am getting the following error in the alfresco

Sara,

Do you have the instructions for performing the installation on a Linux, the Alfresco Installation Guide is vague at best with attempting to do this in Linux,
unless you can direct me to a link elsewhere for reading. I've performed the JDK and Alfresco package installation, but cannot view anything via the url

Hi,
AlfrescoCommunity-2.9.0B- for Linux could be downloaded from the following link
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=143373&package_id=157460
After downloading make sure you have enough privileges to install
sudo chmod +x AlfrescoCommunity-2.9.0B-Linux-x86-Install
./AlfrescoCommunity-2.9.0B-Linux-x86-Install

Set the JRE_HOME,
export JRE_HOME==/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-sun
sudo sh alf_start.sh –> should start the server
The AlfrescoCommunity-2.9.0B-Linux-x86-Installer fails to replace @@ALFRESCO_DIR@@ in alf_start.sh, alf_stop.sh, alfresco.sh, start_oo.sh , so replace it with your alfresco installation
location in your linux machine (eg /home/xxxx/Alfresco). @@ALF_OO@@ refers to your openoffice installation.
