The issue is when I click the destination "click here to select the destination"thingy, I just get a rotating disk like its doing something but it never goes away. I've noticed

thanks, that fixed it!
ouch! was painfull upgrading tho! I tried the "upgrade" binary but it didnt seem to do anything, then I tried the install keeping my MySQL indexes and file data and it screwed everything and wouldnt start, then told me it failed upgrading the DB schema and I should go back to a version form before it tried to do the upgrade which I didnt have! So I had to delete everything!

The general upgrade process is described here: http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/General_Upgrade_Process
…although that doesn't strictly apply for the nightly builds, which are "cutting edge" and therefore untested.

Generally, the best upgrade policy for non-production systems is to shutdown, back-up, remove the alfresco .war, clean-up the deployed folder and Tomcat temp folders and copy the new .war in. Upgrades tend to work ok this way if you're using MySQL, as that's what we develop with. Other upgrade scripts are tested and fixed nearer a release date.

Sometimes you can recover from a DB schema upgrade failure by dropping the alf_bootstrap_lock table and trying again - although it usually indicates something, somewhere wasn't at all happy during the upgrade!

Mike
