Does Activiti Supports Internationalization ?

Hi,Does Activiti Supports Internationalization ? I see all the UI texts are hardcoded in the source.If i want to use Activiti texts as a language specific, How can i achieve that ?Thanks,Sucheth

Explorer is internationalized. But the engine is not - why would it need to be?

Hi,
The Activiti Plugin for The Eclipse IDE displays all the GUI Text's in English.
(For Example: Listener Configuration, Select Class, Event etc.) All these messages are hard coded in the org.activiti.designer.gui project.
So if i want to support the intrnationalization, How does that can be achieved ?

The designer is currently not localizable out of the box, it's a compromise between timing and common sense, as most developers can understand technical english. If you really want this, you can always modify the sources and build a custom plugin-artifact from that…

I need to display translated error messages for my users while publishing, to allow them to verify by themselves
the causes of the error. Is there any configuration file where I can customize Exception messages?

Wouldn't be internacionalization the solution for this?

Example:

While publishing a time event whithout any time related definition, activiti throws a:

Caused by: org.activiti.engine.ActivitiException: Errors while parsing:
Timer needs configuration (either timeDate, timeCycle or timeDuration is needed). | line 60 | column 79

How can I have this message personalized?

The engine itself is not localised and are not planning on doing this. All Exception messages come out in english. These are not the kind of errors one whould expect to show to end-users (unless you're actually creating an editor that creates the BPMN-diagrams). If you really want it localized, you'll have to depend on the common patterns of the exception-messages and replace the english text by the localised value.

Due to the technical nature of the engine, it's not so strange to have exception-messages only in english (you see this with a lot of libraries). We have some dedicated exception-types, which help you figure out what kind of error it is. The layer using activiti, should create appropriate error-messages for end-users.
