Office plugin problems.

In advance please forgive my poor English.I have noticed that when you connect with alfresco using de Officce plugin, all de security restrictions in spaces and sub-spaces are not considered, any user can see, delete, change, copy any spaces content, create new spaces etc… It's a bug? or maybe a wro

Hi

The Office Add-in user interface is provided by Alfresco web scripts, running in the context of whatever user you specified on the configuration page of the add-in window.

It sounds like the web scripts are running in the admin user's context - did you specify the admin user in the Add-in configuration screen?

Yes in the first access, I entered with de admin profile, then I change it to make controls of diferent user's access. You tink that once you enter with de admin profile is always using this, even if you change it?

Hi

It may re-use the admin use account if you didn't restart the Office application, as MSIE can present the previous session's cookie.

If you restart the Office application the correct user should be picked up.

Mike, I've restarted word, I cleaned cookies, and restart Word again but still have total acces, when entering the Alfresco aplication with that user via internet gets the restrictions. We have an OPENLDAP initial access control, but I think in this case maybe irrelevant. Regards.

An exception error occur —> Can not remove the security policy –> ERROR: Invalid label or name. The cuestion is that I was trying to start from the begining, but I cant get de office2003 addin uninstall.

I'm not sure what you've done to your client installation (did you try to manually delete any files? Are you trying to uninstall from a different user account?)

Regarding your "open access" issue - do each of your users have a home space? Which space is first shown when you browse to:

http://<server>:8080/alfresco/wcs/office/navigation?p=‍

Thanks Mike for your time, I think that de problem was that I had installed two addins one for Word and one for Office, unstalling both, and installing only de one for office works properly.

Hi I installed the office extension for 2.1.

At first look it appeared to work i added the server details, my login and checked the always use this username/pssword box.

I could browse spaces in the extension using word…Fantastic!!!

I then clicked on a word document and it through an error??

Since then If I reopen word click on the alfresco toolbar.. word Crashes.

I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled problem still exists any ideas???

I am stumped

did not think fast enough and make a note of the exact error.Think it may have been a Buffered Overflow error.
